On the slopes!

La Plagne is the fabulous Paradiski area

  • 225 km of ski runs,
  • 52 red and black runs,
  • 14 cross-country ski runs,
  • 7 ski touring routes,
  • a ‘coolski’ area ideal for beginners...

You'll need to take your time if you're planning to do the whole thing.

Of course, when we say skiing, we also mean snowboarding, splitboarding, telemark skiing, Nordic skiing and just about anything else that lets you glide down snow-covered slopes. Get off the beaten track: the playing field is huge, so it's up to you to decide how you want to play the game.

Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing to the Vanoise

A snowshoe outing is even better when it's educational. Follow the signposted trails and learn about the flora and fauna of the beautiful mountains that surround you.

A destination not to be missed: the Parc de la Vanoise. Along its 4,000 hectares, discover :

  • glaciers as high as 3,000 m
  • 4 nature reserves
  • 600 km of developed trails... and all the abundant biodiversity that has developed there

More hiking ideas

There are four themed walks around the resort, of varying lengths:

  • The biodiversity trail
  • The Superga chapel (approx. 30 mins)
  • The Bovet reach (4 hrs)
  • The Champagny-le-haut orienteering course (3.3 km; the most fun for the whole family)

Fly now!

Fly over the splendid landscapes of the Alps: the world is always more beautiful from above. Join the Super Tyrolienne and take off on a 600m flight facing Mont Blanc, above Lac Vert and a little closer to the stars.

Freewheeling

Are you up for a little cycling? Mountain bike or fat bike, it doesn't matter which vehicle you use as long as you're having fun. Sign up for a group outing. The ride includes a short break for coffee and croissants or white wine and Beaufort, depending on the time. Beginners are welcome, but enthusiasts won't want to miss out...

Among the many possible itineraries, we recommend the following:

  • the Vue-Cascade loop from Mâcot-la-Plagne: approximately 2h40 of hiking for all levels,
  • the Roche de Mio - Neige éternelle loop from Mâcot-la-Plagne: reserved for experts! 3hrs 30mins of riding on the edge of sporting achievement,
  • the Plan Bois enduro loop: intermediate level, allow around 2hrs 10mins.

Tobogganing

The joys of tobogganing for all

Tobogganing is the ultimate family activity, taking you back in time to your childhood! Paradiski® has 3 runs exclusively for sledging:

  • Colorado Park: 1.5 km downhill
  • Eldorado Park: 2.9 km
  • Rodeo Park: 3 km, day and night rides

And to ensure that the youngest visitors enjoy themselves in complete safety, the resort has a number of equipped and secure sledging areas.

Can you beat the speed records?

Experience the thrills of an Olympic champion on this bobsleigh track, the only one of its kind in France. Built for the 1992 Olympic Games, it's also the biggest in Europe! Take off on a 1.5km downhill run with 19 bends. You may not beat the speed record on this track (134 km/h), but at least you'll have a good time.

Bobsleigh, skeleton and bob rafting are also available. The more adventurous can try their hand at speed sledging (from age 16) and enjoy a 90 km/h ride.

The ice rink

Put on your skates

A great winter sports classic for the whole family: a trip to the ice rink. Show your children how well you've mastered the technique... or not... You may not be able to inspire them, but you'll have a great time.

The Plagne Centre ice rink is open from December to April:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday: 10am to 7pm
  • Wednesday and Friday: 10am to 7pm and 8pm to 10pm

Get off the beaten track

A little originality in this world of skiers

  • Put ice climbing to the test and climb a 24m-high infernal tower, created by freezing a metal structure and spraying it with water. Thanks to the invaluable advice of our experienced guides, you'll feel like a real mountaineer as you climb this (very) small Everest.
  • Are you a seasoned skier looking for a thrill? Try speed riding. Equipped with your best skis and a mini paraglider, alternate between gliding and soaring, and feel yourself grow wings.
